Wyndham Crystal Palace 12/22/04

I didn't see a recent review so I thought I'd leave one. We've stayed at the Wyndham several times in the last couple of years, most recently in late October 2004. Located on Cable Beach, it offers us everything we look for in a resort- good beach, snorkeling, jet skis, good food, nice area, gambling, shopping, etc.There is a 'mini' straw market across the street for those who don't want to fight the crowds at the main one in Nassau. Also across the street is a small hut with the best daquiris/fruit drinks you'll ever have. Jitneys stop right in front and for a $1 you can get into town. The hotel has two very good restaurants, the Black Angus and Sole Mare as well as a buffet, a deli and a dessert area. There are some stores in the hotel but relatively limited other than the liquor store which has about the same prices as the ones downtown. The hotel itself is a little on the older side and a bit worn in places, but there are always renovation projects going on to spruce things up. For the price it is hard to find a better value.
