I am planning a trip to the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas in a few months. I have done some rather limited research on my own, but I would like to hear from those of you that have actually been there. I am confined to a wheelchair and not able to traverse stairs, sand, or other such obstacles. Does anyone have any opinions as to whether a trip to Atlantis would be advisable to someone not completely mobile? I have checked with my travel agent and she assures me that Delta's Jet Service into Nassau has terminal service / not tarmac service. The hotel also assures me that "The Dig" is accessible provided I start the tour at the end and work backwards. Can anyone confirm what I've been told from a "first hand" standpoint? I would love to explore Atlantis, but I don't want it to turn into a huge waste of time and money.
