Hi:
For a strictly reggae band, you'd have to look at Jamaica.
The Bahamian bands have their own style which combines, I guess, a bit of goombay, rake and scrape and there is the influence of soca, calypso and reggae in the music.
Some of the best musicians/popular singers in Nassau are:
The BahaMen, KB(Kirk Brodie), Ira Storr, Eugene "Gino D" Davis, Sweet Emily, Funky D, Visage. Ira Storr & KB Brodie sing together in a band called Spank I believe.
Try to listen to the radio station 100 jamz through the following URL:
http://www2.100jamz.com
You'll get a taste of the different sounds if you listen to it long enough.
Perhaps, if you write the radio station, they can tell you how to go about booking a band. Some of these musicians perform in various niteclubs and hotels. Club 601 features Ira Storr, KB as well as Visage and BahaMen on occasion.
BahaMen were featured in the movie, "My Father The Hero" with Gerard
Depardieu and are probably the most renowned. They have recorded a few albums.
Perhaps someone else will see your message and post more information for you.
Best regards
