This is an RCI timeshare property, that overlooks the Ruby Golf Course and is four miles away from Freeport Int'l Airport.

Check-in is at 3 p.m. and check-out is at 10 a.m.

Accommodations consist of tropically decorated studio and one bedroom units with cable TV, air-conditioning, carpeting, ceiling fans, private balconies. The studios have mini-kitchenettes and the one bedroom units have full kitchens with refrigerator, conventional oven, and some even have a dishwasher.

The studio units are basically one room encompassing a living room area, sleeping area, mini-kitchenette all in one big room with no real separation except for the counter that, you could say, denotes some separation. Other on-site facilities include two tennis courts, a tour & activities desk, swimming pool, coin slot laundry facilities.

The patio deck of the pool has chaise lounges and a few small cocktail tables with umbrellas.

No restaurant or bar on the premises which can be a slight inconvenience, but restaurants & shopping are about a mile away.

The par-72, 18-hole Ruby Golf Course is affiliated with the Bahamas Princess Hotels. I am no golf afficionado but from what I have written down about this golf course, this is what is in my notes: The Ruby Golf Course is a nice resort spread with more obvious water features than its sister golf course, The Emerald (also belonging to the Bahamas Princess Hotel properties). The Ruby is the larger of the two golf courses. The championship Ruby Golf Course charges the same green fees as the Emerald -- I believe that its approximately $75 for 18 holes, $50 for nine, carts cost $45, club rental is $20 but note that prices are always subject to change and I could be off. Danny, one of the frequent travellers to the Bahamas, who posts often on the Bahamas message boards, is the golf expert and could offer you more info. if he reads this message.

The staff appears a bit lax at times. The "Club Van" provides
courtesy transportation to Port Lucaya Marketplace & Marina and the International Bazaar area (Princess Hotels and Princess Casino).
Don't forget to check whether this timeshare facility adds an energy
surcharge and government tax to your bill -- I would inquire at the
time of booking.

The Bahamas Princess Hotels and the Princess Casino have numerous restaurants and several bars.

The John B. Lounge at the Princess Country Club Hotel is an open air
lounge and dance bar with live music every night except Tuesday (located by the poolside).

If you're in the "under 30" crowd, then you may find Kaptain Kenny's bar more appealing (live music until 10:30 p.m. and then a DJ), next to the International Bazaaar and main straw market. It gets a bit rowdy at times.

Buses run until 7:00 p.m. daily. So hop on a bus and go to Port Lucaya Marketplace and Marina on the waterfront with numerous restaurants, shops, and bars.

I hope you will have a pleasant vacation in Freeport. Feel free to e-mail me at carriek5@hotmail if you need any further information but just be patient with me because I sometimes take awhile to answer.

Best regards,

Carrie
