Re your request for meal prices. Meals can be expensive but it depends on your tastes or requirements. Ther is something for everybody. Not that you would want to spend your whole vacation in them but there are many of the usual fast food places, Mc D's, Wendy's, Dunkin Donut, Tony Roma's, Domino's all at prices close to those at home.

The you go to the local restaurants where a meal could be from 15- 25 dollars depending on choice. Then there are the hotel restaurants which again can vary according to the property and the style of restaurant. Just think of your local restaurants at home and add on 10-15%
Remember there is no sales tax in The Bahamas so that will not be tagged on to the check but there is usually a fixed service charge of 15% added automatically so it balances out in the end.

Enjoy it !

>Hi everyone! I am coming to the Nassau in Jan 2000 and I am wondering how much normal meals cost. I am concerned because I heard that food on the island is very expensive. If some one could give me some names of places and about how much normal meals are, I would be forever grateful!
