My husband and I are friendly people who rarely make waves, but we were made to feel like a real bother wherever we went, from the towel hut to the beach grill. We never had a smile returned. Never. And we weren't the only ones. I had to stand in line just to register my complaint with the hotel manager. Let's hope those with reservations get a friendlier shift of people on their trip.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that got treated that way. I knew there was "trouble", as soon as I was checking in. There were 4 people in front of me asking for "room changes". I paid an extra $180 for a
"deluxe ocean view room". The room I received was all the way in the back, and there was no water in sight. When I went back to the desk
I was told "all the rooms are ocean view". Well, I started to get a little hot, knowing I paid extra over the standard room, and my room
did not have an "ocean view". The male desk clerk didn't want to give me a room change, (I swear I'm not making this up) and told me to
"shutup, I got what I paid for". At this point, my girlfriend had to restrain me. Luckily, cooler heads prevailed, and my girlfriend got
another clerk to change our room. (which wasn't much better).
As for the hotel itself, both rooms were dirty, and had a funky stink to them. Our room had no towels, and took 3 calls to get them. There were field mice all over the place, although I never saw one in the room. The pools were dirty and the water freezing. We used the pool at the Marriott next door. ....There is one thing about the place, and that is Cafe Johnny Canoe. It is very good.
FWIW, I go to Cable Beach 2 times a year, and always stay at the
Radisson, or Marriott, and have never had a problem. I thought I'd give Nassau Beach a shot, since the price was right, but it was a huge
mistake.
