Yes, we have stayed there before. In fact we own a timeshare week there. We have used it once so far out of 3 years. If you are staying in the resort it is like a regular 1 bedroom condo. If you are staying in the hotel section it is probably a lot like a days in. Do not expect anything in the Bahamas to get a 5 star rating for cleanliness though, unless you pay quite a bit for it. We have stayed at other hotels in Freeport and have found their housekeeping skills to be not quite up to American standards. But they are not filthy by any means, just not spotless. Service is very friendly, but very laid back. No one is in any kind of a hurry. Take advantage of shuttle boat service offered by the resort, an extra fee may be required, but it's cheaper and more convenient than a taxi. Also, take advantage of city busses to get around the shopping areas. Passengers are very friendly and fee is very cheap. Once you know your way around you can get just about anywhere you need to go. Great private beach, but a shuttle boat trip away from public beaches and shopping and casino. Don't forget to head to the International market and check out the restaurants. Most have excellent food.
