Andrea,

Hi,

My family and I bought a time share package with RHC back in August of 1993 (1 week Silver Package of 15000 credits). We too have not had the time or funds to take full advantage of this time share, but the few times that we have had these two requirements for a decent vacation, we found out (the hard way) that RHC has its pros and cons (leaning more towards the cons). We have found that the so called five star hotels have been in reality more like 3 1/2 to 4 star hotels, you have to make your reservations with ample, ample, ample anticipation (especially if you are thinking of going in the peak to high season time frame) to be able to confirm reservations, the maintenance fees (annual fees to cover overhead costs...I suppose) keep going up and up every year ( in "94" under $300, now close to $400), and you also have to watch out for all these hidden penalty fees (or loss of credits depending on your package) if you have to cancel a reservation.

There has been a few good experiences, but if you have to renew or make current your timeshare dues , my recommendations is that you really, really investigate the company and its resources before you commit any of your hard earned money.

Good Luck

>Hello, Can anyone help me. About 10 years ago (1989) my Father and Mother bought time share in Cancun for the whole family (4 kids) to go on vacation every year. We only used it once and never agian. Now that I have a family I would like to take advantage of this. The only problem is I have no idea who to call. My dad gave me the dead papers which had a 1800 number on it but turned out to be a phone sex line. Not exactly what I was expecting. Anyway, The timeshare says Royal Holiday Club. There is a membership # of 4 digits. It says we have one week, Presidential Suite Mild Season.
