Just returned from Atlantis from a honeymoon. We had the Modified American Meal plan. I think we did a bit better having the meal plan, but could have probably done just as well without it. Having a buffet breafast and dinner was basically a break even to the meal plan. Going to a nicer restaurant for dinner made the plan worth it. It was nice not having to look a prices for the meals, being able to order appetisers and desserts without feeling guilty about not finishing them!

If you plan to eat outside of the resort more than once or twice then the meal plan is probably not worth it as you would be throwing away that money.
