I just arrived home from Bahamas. I was there for a wedding. Had a great time, However. In order to save cost I booked through a travel agency to stay at the casuarinas ! They call it a hotel ! I call it a hole in the wall ! What an ordeal !
-To make a call from the hotel you must go through the front desk for everything, if a credit card call the front desk wants a copy of the card ! They dial (Seems shady)
-There is no knob on the door only a lock ! Each room gets one key if you have more than one person you must leave the key at the front desk and who ever returns first opens the room.
-There are two pools on site they are porrly maintained as well as the gardens and court yard of the hotel. The other pool is on the other side of the street along with the restaurant !
-Needless to say. I was there three hours and called home to travel agent and was upgraded to the Nassau Beach hotel ! Yes 200.00 more per person ! But money much better spent !
-Sliding door on tiny balcony was shut with a stick !
-Hole in the front door stuffed with a white trash bag !
-Cold tile floors throughout, no carpet.
- Each room has air conditioners that the staff request you turn off evwerytime you leave the room. (Sure)
- The beach is a rock garden nothing to brag about, yes it is waterfront however if you are looking to relax on the beach don't expect to stay here !
-Very quiet away from town by three miles approx. two to other hotels, Breezes, Marriot, Raddison.
-Lovely staff and friendly and courteous, offer free rum punch upon check in
-On a scale of one to ten this hotel would receive a four ! This is not good ! Unless you are revisiting Bahamas and saving money really tightly then I would not reccomend this. You can be like me and say It can't be that bad but save yourself the hassle of transferring to another hotel.
I went there with this attitude like "It can't be that bad" It is ! Don't be cheap like I was trying to be not worth the aggravation!
