Hi. I live in Key West, FL year round. I am 25 years old and am a CERTIFIED WAVERUNNER GUIDE (PWC)...I have worked at jetski rentals for years in Ocean City, Maryland and Melbourne, Florida as well as here in Key West. I ride a stand up Kawasaki 550sx as my personal ski. But when I am working, I do island tours and take people out for hour and ½ hour rides. I have an excellent history at my jobs as well as being certified in Adult CPR, First AID, Community CPR, etc. I also have my safe boater's certificate and my GUIDE card. I love the water and I have done much research on the internet about EVERY island in the Carribbean. From Cuba to Aruba I have extensivly researched them ALL. But I seem to keep coming back to St. Kitts & Nevis websites. I have not been there, but everything I have read and/or seen about it tells me I need to be there. I am a single guy who rides a stand-up jetski and I drive a moped to work. I know island life since Key West is an island. I love the waters here, but the lifestyle is a little hectic. I work 2 jobs (Waverunner Guide, and a liquor store) and even though the keys have a laid back reputation, it really isnt that laid back if you live here..You are running around constantly dealing with crowds of drunks and everything else you could imagine. I really would LOVE the chance to relocate myself, my small stand-up ski & moped to St. Kitts where I could live and work. I know your islands are not near as crowded as here nor as hectic. Not only that but we have some pollution problems around the island due to old sewer lines under the city and run-off when it rains. The "moped to work" and simple lifestyle is what I love about living here, but I dont like the crowds and the overfishing and the pollution levels... Our waters here are crystal clear, but Im sure nothing like St. Kitts & Nevis. Those islands sound perfect for a single guy like me who has no bills but rent. I really want to move there and live the rest of my life in tranquility.....Give me a chance to prove my worth & that being a Certified Guide is worth your time. Not only that, but I am MORE than computer literate since I have been on computers since the age of 12.
People here are killing the reefs by overfishing, commercial fishing, stepping on the reef, etc. Many people violate the sanctuaries where fishing is off-limits. No one respects the water and life in it here it seems and it pisses me off. I like Key West, but it is too commercial. Its all about the $$ first and environment later. Where I really need to be is in St. Kitts & Nevis. Where the laidback lifestyle and protecting the resources is truly a reality. If you are an employer on St. Kitts & Nevis, please contact me here in Key West. I would love to talk to you. (305) 296-3143 I have what I believe it takes to be successful in St. Kitts & Nevis. Your going to need me, especially with all the people that will be visiting your islands from the new Cruise Ship terminal that you have now. I know how to deal with customers... =-)
